Smoking ceremony at Barangaroo

NAIDOC Week 2019

The Streets of Barangaroo will be hosting a smoking ceremony at Exchange Place outside Wild Sage at 12:30pm on Tuesday 9th July, in recognition of NAIDOC Week.

A smoking ceremony is an Aboriginal custom in Australia that involves burning Native Plants to produce smoke, which has cleansing properties and the ability to ward off bad spirits from the people and the land. Alongside the smoking ceremony, The Rabbit Hole Tea Bar will be sampling their native tea range which include Strawberry Gum Green, Bush Lemon & Ginger, Kakadu Dreaming, Wattleseed Breakfast and Native Mint.
