### First Nations leaders gathered to reflect on the strength, vision and legacy of culture through the lens of language, story and intergenerational connection.

This week, the [Indigenous Literacy Foundation](https://www.indigenousliteracyfoundation.org.au/) (ILF) hosted a NAIDOC Panel in line with the 2025 theme, discussing the strength, vision, and legacy of the next generation.

The panel featured four First Nations leaders across multiple generations, including Darren Moncrieff, who has been quoted on our digital screens throughout the Lobbies:

> “Preserving language for future generations is a sacred duty; as sacred as our sites.”
> — Darren Moncrieff
> Wadjarri/Yinggarda-Tharrgari
> Talent Pathways Program Manager
> Indigenous Literacy Foundation

Additional reflections from ILF team members are also featured across the precinct:

> “Our stories connect across generations and Peoples.”
> — Zoe Cassim
> Bundjalung
> Head of Programs
> Indigenous Literacy Foundation

> “The vision of the next generation shines through every page.”
> — Krista Brydges
> Fundraising Officer
> Indigenous Literacy Foundation

> “Every book displays the strength of storytelling and the importance of legacy.”
> — Samantha Mansell
> Publishing Project Editor
> Indigenous Literacy Foundation

These quotes highlight the importance of preserving First Nations culture through language, story and connection. You can celebrate, reflect, and engage by watching the recorded panel discussion below.
