World Humanitarian Day is an annual event that recognises the brave, selfless aid workers and volunteers who risk their lives supporting people affected by crises all over the world. Over 130 million people in dozens of countries currently need humanitarian aid either because of war or natural disasters.
Learn more and celebrate these inspiring people at an exclusive event for our community. Speakers include Dr. Munjed Al Muderis, an Australian Associate Professor in orthopaedic surgery, author and human rights activist who was born in Iraq and lived under the regime of Saddam Hussein; and Michael Heiman, who has dedicated his life to training giant southern pouched rats to detect land mines.
