Step into a world where roots reach for the sky and imagination takes flight. Upside-Down Garden is an immersive sculptural installation by celebrated artist Jumaadi, coming soon to the open atrium along Mercantile Walk under International House.
This 12-metre installation reimagines our natural world from a new point of view. Drawing inspiration from botanical, archetypal and mythological themes, the work blends shadow, play and sound to create a moment of pause and wonder amid the rhythm of Barangaroo.
Jumaadi’s works often explore duality – memory and movement, Indonesia and Australia, love and loss – and this piece invites you to reflect on transformation, connection and perspective through form, light and storytelling.
Let this dreamlike canopy draw your eyes upward and your thoughts inward as you pass through one of the precinct’s busiest walkways.
