At International Towers this festive season, Sydney-based cultural programming platform and creative studio Arts-Matter has unveiled a captivating installation that brings together the imaginative forces of artist Troy Emery and floral designer Ben Avery of The Colourblind Florist. Represented by Michael Reid Gallery, Emery has created a collection of mythical, vividly textured creatures that blur the boundaries between fantasy and the natural world. These fantastical forms are nestled within an immersive environment designed by Avery, whose lush, unconventional approach to colour and composition transforms the space into a dreamlike landscape. Together, their collaboration incites joy and wonder—encouraging visitors to embrace whimsy and reconnect with the magic of nature during the festive season.
Troy Emery’s sculptural practice centres on textile-based figurative forms that explore humanity’s complex relationship with the natural world. Through his use of mass-produced craft materials, vibrant hues, and soft textures, Emery contrasts the traditions of hard sculpture to evoke both delight and unease. His creatures are at once decorative and symbolic—manifestations of personal and collective anxiety about ecological fragility and our estrangement from the environment. Within this installation, these creatures become ambassadors of imagination and introspection, set against Avery’s richly sensory landscape. Together, their work invites audiences to pause, play, and reflect on the delicate balance between beauty, artifice, and the natural world that sustains us.
Emery is interested in the boundaries between fine art, museums, natural history, craft and the domestic space, seeing his works as blurring the thresholds between these domains. He was recently honoured as the recipient of the 2025 Tapestry Design Prize at the awards celebration in Naarm/Melbourne. Emery has exhibited widely across Australia and internationally since completing his Master of Fine Arts at the University of Sydney in 2009. His work is represented in numerous public and private collections, including the National Gallery of Victoria, Artbank, City of Townsville, Goulburn Regional Art Gallery, Deakin University Art Museum, Deloitte Australia, Macquarie University Art Gallery and Maitland Regional Art Gallery.
Benjamin Avery
Benjamin Avery, known as The Colourblind Florist, is a Sydney-based botanical artist whose distinctive approach to floristry blends fine art, design, and nature. Drawing on his background in painting and his unique colour perception, Avery creates sculptural arrangements that emphasise texture, form, and spatial composition. His imaginative work has led to collaborations with leading brands and institutions, including Gucci, Tiffany & Co., Helen Kaminski, Dinosaur Designs, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA), as well as large-scale commissions for events such as the David Jones Spring Flower Show. Through these projects, Avery continues to redefine contemporary floristry, transforming it into an expressive and architectural art form.
We invite you to explore our “Fantastical World” exhibition and immerse yourself in its creativity and wonder. We kindly request that you do not touch the artworks. The installations are on display in the lobbies of Tower Two, Tower Three and International House until the end of January 2026.

It’s been a decade since International Towers welcomed its first tenant partners to what was soon to become one of Australia’s most progressive and desirable workplaces. To anchor our journey of reflection and celebration over the next twelve months, we’ve developed a special brand identity.
The symbol is a highly stylised representation of the number 10. The number 1 is skewed at an angle of 15 degrees – the exact angle between the central axis’ of Tower Two and Tower Three.
The two numbers intersect, forming a singular unit – representing the single, symbiotic community formed by our diverse population of people, organisations and visitors.
The colours used in the logo have been taken from the unique colours of the external solar fins of the towers, conceptualised by the architects of International Towers, Rogers Stirk Harbour: silver, representing the reflection of light on the harbour’s surface, and yellow, symbolising the sun and the extraordinary natural light that elevates our workspaces.
As a community, we have a lot to be proud of, and our anniversary gives us a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the many ingredients that make International Towers such a special place.
It’s been ten years since our first tenant partners made Barangaroo their home, and over the past decade we’ve shared in many extraordinary achievements, made possible by this extraordinary workplace.
International Towers is the centrepiece of an ambitious and inspiring vision to create a commercial precinct that simultaneously supported the highest levels of performance and wellness, and to be the most progressive and desirable workplace in the country. Hosting some of the most respected enterprises in the country, and anchoring a thriving precinct built on convenience and authenticity, International Towers has realised that original vision, winning international acclaim and setting new benchmarks in sustainability, design, service, innovation and wellbeing in the modern workplace.
The precinct too has evolved and flourished, welcoming new amenity and experiences that enhance the experience of our workers and visitors each day. From the newest swimming spot in the harbour, Marrinawi Cove, to new places to relax and gather such as Pier Pavilion, the opening of the Barangaroo Metro station and a diversity of authentic new dining and social destinations, the precinct is more convenient and inspiring than ever.
And there’s still so much more to come. We’ll soon be welcoming the arrival of a world-class end-of-trip facility designed to support social and physical wellness in ways that will redefine this class of amenity, and our ground-breaking, award-winning technology platform, Amica will continue to expand its support functionality, making life at the precinct more seamless and rewarding each day.
We’ll continue to celebrate this significant milestone over the next few months, reflecting on our remarkable journey so far, and looking forward to an even brighter future.

Neurodiversity isn’t just about awareness—it’s about action. It’s time to challenge outdated perceptions and embrace the competitive advantage of thinking differently.

Thank you to all of our community who attended this colourful and successful event on the weekend and the dedicated team at International Towers, The Streets Of Barangaroo, One International Towers and Infrastructure NSW who helped Make It Happen.
