NAIDOC Week ILF Panel: Strength, Vision and Legacy

A cross-generational conversation for the future.

You are invited to join us on Wednesday 9 July for a powerful panel discussion in celebration of the 2025 NAIDOC Week theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.

This special event brings together four First Nations voices to share personal stories and perspectives on leadership, culture and the legacy being shaped for future generations.

The panel will feature:

  • Aunty Deborah Lennis, a D’harawal woman and respected Elder
  • Darren Moncrieff, ILF’s Regional Program Coordinator, who is a Wadjarri man through his grandfather and Yinggarda and Thargarri through his grandmother
  • Enchinea Close-Brown, ILF’s Publishing Coordinator, a Githabul and Nuku woman
  • DOBBY, an acclaimed Murrawarri and Filipino artist, producer and ILF Ambassador
The discussion is scheduled to take place in the South Lobby of Tower 3 around 12.30pm. Guests are welcome to bring their lunch to the space. A recording of the session will be made available later that afternoon for those unable to attend in person.

To support the work of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, a “Donate Now” QR code will be available at the event. Contributions directly fund community-led literacy programs and new books for remote First Nations communities.

This event is part of International Towers' NAIDOC Week 2025 program, honouring the strength, vision and legacy of First Nations communities across generations.
