KPMG confirms they love life at International Towers

The recent announcement by global professional services firm KPMG to recommit to its tenure at International Towers demonstrates the continued ability of this unique precinct to support the evolving needs of progressive organisations.

Many of the attributes that contributed to International Towers – and the broader Barangaroo precinct – achieving such unprecedented acclaim and recognition soon after its launch eight years ago continue to underpin its place as one of the most successful workplaces in the country.

Barangaroo is still recognised as one of the most sustainable large-scale precincts in the world. It was the first – and remains the only – certified Carbon Neutral precinct in Australia, the result of significant investment and an uncompromised approach to creating a built environment that is as equally healthy for people as it is the planet.

The precinct runs entirely on sustainable power, and is water-positive – returning more potable water to Sydney’s reserves than it consumes. Over fifty percent of the precinct is public space, and over ninety percent of precinct waste is reused, recycled and repurposed.

One of the key challenges for modern organisations, including KPMG, is the ability to attract and retain talent, and to provide workplace for their people that enjoys seamless access, nurtures wellness and supports innovation, collaboration and productivity.

A highly engaged on-site management team oversee a well-considered program of events and activations that seek to inform, inspire and support the daily experience of the tower community. Additionally, a multi-award winning online support platform, Amica, provides a comprehensive and tailored digital overlay for organisations and individuals to connect and engage with the Barangaroo community, and enhance their productivity and workplace experience.

“Since moving to the precinct over seven years ago, Barangaroo has proven to be a great home for our 4000-strong staff and partners. The precinct has transformed into a thriving community that supports our employees with wide range of amenity, services and events, along with high quality office space that fosters collaboration,” says Doug Ferguson, NSW Chairman, KPMG.

Barangaroo’s sustainability credentials and net zero carbon goals are a driving factor in our commitment to the precinct

We enjoy working at Barangaroo, and I believe our staff feel genuinely proud to bring their families and friends and show them where they work.”
