Sleep Under the Stars: Lighting the Way for Young Australians

A night of connection, purpose and hope
On Friday 24 October 2025, the Stargazer Lawn at Barangaroo will host Sleep Under the Stars, an inspiring community event raising awareness and vital funds for Stepping Stone House. Now in its 11th year, the annual sleep-out has raised more than $7.2 million to support young people experiencing homelessness in Australia.
Each night, almost 46,000 children and young people under 25 have no safe place to call home. Stepping Stone House provides long-term housing, case management, education, life skills training, employment pathways, and adventure-based learning to help young people heal, grow and thrive.
With more than 35 years of experience, the organisation has already supported over 500 young people on their journey to independence.
How to take part
Join as an individual, family or workplace team. You can:

- Host your own sleep-out anywhere in Australia
- Provide workplace support through dollar matching, sponsorship or volunteering
