ReLove: Creating homes with kindness

Enjoy furniture with impact in the lobby, from a Sydney charity that’s changing lives.
As you’re passing through the lobby any time over the next couple of months, you might want to allow yourself some extra time to get to where you’re going, so you can enjoy the delightfully stylish, incredibly comfy installation featuring furniture pieces from Sydney charity, ReLove.
ReLove does wonderful work for Sydneysiders in crisis, supporting women and children impacted by domestic violence, people experiencing homelessness, families, and those seeking asylum or coming out of incarceration. By providing good quality home furnishings and essentials, ReLove enables people to create an empowering space for a fresh start, helping them rebuild their homes and their lives, restoring dignity, comfort, and a sense of choice as they face challenging times.
Fabulous furniture. Friendly faces.
The installation is the creation of talented, sustainably-driven interior designer and long-time International Towers partner, Robyn Lindsey. Robbie selected the pieces on a recent shopping spree around ReLove’s Alexandria warehouse with International Towers fund manager, Kim Dawson.
“ReLove is such a brilliant idea, giving such desperately needed help to Sydney people in crisis,” Robbie explains. “Donated furniture comes from hotels, hospitality venues, corporate workplaces and individuals, and includes many beautifully unique designer pieces created for big brands that you simply won’t find anywhere in the retail space.
“Previously this fabulous furniture may well have gone to landfill, but instead it comes to ReLove and is sold on for someone else to enjoy, creating the revenue for ReLove’s charitable work with a truly circular solution.”
Life-changing impact, with love.
ReLove was established in 2021 when founders Ren Fernando and Ben Stammer discovered a critical gap in support services for people moving into safe housing – those homes were empty.
Since then the charity has grown into a formidable force for good across Sydney.

Taking time out from the shopping spree, Kim said, “ESG is crucially important to International Towers, and we saw this as an opportunity to go one step further in support of social enterprise and the circular economy. The installation will be a great place to sit and dwell, but more importantly it be raising awareness of what ReLove does to support people in need, and will serve as strong encouragement for other organisations to donate their furniture.”
Playing furniture favourites
Do our two furniture shoppers have any favourites from what they’ve picked up at the ReLove warehouse?
“My favourite pieces are the two couches we found out the back,” smiles Kim. “I can definitely see myself sitting there having a coffee.”
“Watch out for the Tom Dixon floor lamp,” adds Robbie. “And enjoy all these curated pieces that you’d never normally see together, get some ideas for your spaces.”
