Sleep Health Week at International Towers: Rest, Wellbeing & the Right to Sleep

One in three Australians struggle with sleep. From insomnia to disrupted sleep cycles, the nation’s collective rest deficit is taking a toll on our health and wellbeing.
That’s why Sleep Health Week is more than a calendar event. It’s a reminder to reclaim rest as a vital part of life—not just for productivity or performance, but for healing, safety and dignity.
This year, International Towers invites you to a powerful live experience that explores the deep connections between sleep, social justice and wellbeing.

We’ll be gathering in the South Lobby for a special live interview—yes, in an actual bed—to unpack why sleep is more than a pillar of health. It’s a fundamental human right.
You'll hear from:
- Ren Fernando, co-founder of ReLove, who brings a critical social lens, sharing how too many women and children fleeing domestic violence are left sleeping on floors without a safe or furnished space to call home.
- Dr Moira Junge, CEO of the Sleep Health Foundation, on the science of restorative rest and the simple, daily habits that can help us sleep better and live brighter.
Why a bed?
Because sleep is not just about comfort. It's about security, recovery and dignity. This special in-bed conversation is a symbolic and emotional reminder of what’s at stake when sleep is out of reach.
A collaboration rooted in care
This Sleep Health Week event also marks the beginning of a powerful new collaboration between International Towers and ReLove, a registered charity furnishing homes for people in crisis.
Together, we’ve curated a purposeful, pre-loved furniture installation in Tower 3’s foyer, combining beautiful design with social impact. Each item tells a story and offers a chance for you to support dignity through design.
The installation also features handcrafted candles by CandleXchange, ReLove’s social enterprise brand that transforms reclaimed glass into products that light up homes and lives.
Want to live longer? Start with sleep.
Sleep powers everything—from immune strength to heart health, memory, mood and metabolism. And yet, we sacrifice it daily for work, Netflix or doom-scrolling. As Dr Moira Junge explains, better sleep isn't a luxury. It’s a lifesaver.
Sleep better. Live brighter. Give back.
Join us this Sleep Health Week and remember: Sleep is not a luxury. It’s a right.
