National Reconciliation Week: A Celebration of Story, Culture and Connection

Explore the Indigenous Literacy Foundation’s Curated Bookshelf in Our Lobby
During National Reconciliation Week 2025, we invite you to visit the Storytelling Circle Pop-Up Library—a temporary installation located in Tower 2 North and Tower 3 South, presented in partnership with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF).
This curated bookshelf features a powerful collection of books written by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors, offering readers insight into culture, Country and Community. Hand-picked by ILF, the collection reflects the rich storytelling traditions of the world’s oldest continuing culture, with contributions from Elders, families, and children across Australia.
When: 26 May 2025 - 6 June 2025 (8:30 am - 3:00 pm)
Where: T2 North Lobby and T3 South Lobby
A Design Rooted in Sustainability and Culture
The installation itself is crafted by The Cardboard Mill using fully recyclable materials, and adorned with artwork by Ryhia Dank (Nardurna), a Gudanji/Wakaja artist whose work appears across our National Reconciliation Week initiatives. The design reflects our commitment to sustainability, cultural recognition and thoughtful placemaking.
Our sustainable reading space, designed with recycled cardboard bookshelves by The Cardboard Mill and cosy yarning mats and furniture from Winya, provides the perfect nook for reflection.
Admire the space's artwork by Ryhia Dank, a Gudanji and Wakaja woman, Indigenous artist, and ILF Ambassador. Learn more about Ryhia by collecting a Connection Pin featuring her artwork in the Lobby.
