A time for renewal and celebration

Enjoy our Easter installations

For many in our community, Easter has great significance and meaning. It is a time that represents personal renewal and rebirth, popularly symbolized by chocolate eggs. The Easter message is also one of community, and the personal stories that bring us all together.

It is in that spirit that our Easter art installations have been made. They featured a collection of unique and beautifully-coloured baskets hand-woven by the Bula Bula community in Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, using methods passed down from generations of Indigenous women.

The baskets were adorned with Australian grown wheat, and ethically farmed emu eggs

The installation celebrated the inclusiveness, sustainability and creativity of our community, and paid tribute to the traditional owners of our land.
