Celebrating International Day of the Girl

The House That Dan Built

To celebrate International Day of the Girl (Friday 11th October) we hosted a fantastic choir performance in our lobbies. The House That Dan Built is a 100% not-for-profit charity aimed to help young women find their creative voices through song and story. Since it’s inception in 2015 they have worked with 500 girls across Australia, many of them from disadvantaged and marginalised communities.

Girls are future female leaders - by investing in them we are investing in the future empowerment and diversity of female voices across Australia. As a corporation that supports female voices, supporting the next generation of women has never been more important.

We need hope and joy for the future of girls across the world. With our artistic Director, Danielle O’Keefe, the Toy Choir (15 girls aged 10-18 dressed in white and red) performed original music and songs on red ukuleles. These songs were designed to lift the spirit and fill the heart with hope for female voices of the future.
