To understand your space's energy efficiency, focus on these key areas:

1. Lighting

  • What types of light fixtures are installed (LED, fluorescent, etc.)?
  • How many fixtures are in each functional area of the workplace?
  • How are the lights controlled (sensors, switches, timers)?
  • How are lights programmed to operate in different areas?
  • Are the lights operating as intended, and is this the most efficient approach?

2. Office & kitchen equipment

  • What are the energy ratings of your appliances?
  • Are all appliances in use, or are some unnecessary?
  • Are eco-mode, energy-saving mode, or standby mode enabled?
  • Is any equipment running 24/7 unnecessarily?
