Schools Reconciliation Challenge Exhibition Continues Its Journey Across NSW
Celebrating student creativity, connection to Country and reconciliation
International Towers is proud to continue its support of the Reconciliation NSW Schools Reconciliation Challenge for its seventh year, an annual art and writing program that invites young people across NSW and the ACT to reflect on what reconciliation means to them through creative expression.
The 2025 Challenge theme, Feeding Connection: Learning From Country, invites students to explore the relationship between food, culture, Country and care. Centred on deep-rooted knowledge, ecological stewardship and cultural resilience, the theme encourages young people to consider how First Nations ways of knowing and caring for Country continue to shape a more sustainable and connected future.
The 2025 Schools Reconciliation Challenge entries will be judged in late 2025, with up to 40 selected works to be exhibited this year. Curated on behalf of International Towers by Nicholas Greenwich, Art Curator & Exhibition Producer, the exhibition will bring the voices, perspectives and creativity of students to the Barangaroo community, showcasing works that respond to reconciliation with thoughtfulness, imagination and respect.
When: Friday 8 May 2026 - Friday 31 July 2026
Where: Tower 2 & Tower 3 Lobby, International Towers
Following its display at International Towers, the exhibition will continue its journey across the state, travelling to NSW Parliament and selected National Trust properties across NSW — extending the reach of these powerful student voices and inviting wider audiences to engage with the themes of reconciliation, Country and connection.

About the Schools Reconciliation Challenge
Reconciliation NSW is the peak body for advancing reconciliation in NSW. For more than 25 years, its programs, campaigns and resources have been guided by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, with a focus on deepening understanding of a reconciled, just and equitable community.
The Schools Reconciliation Challenge is one of Reconciliation NSW’s premier programs. Now in its 16th year, the Challenge encourages students across NSW and the ACT to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australia and reflect on reconciliation through art and writing.
Each year, selected works are curated into a statewide exhibition, giving students and their communities the opportunity to see their creativity and perspectives shared with a wider audience. The exhibition helps create space for learning, conversation and connection, while supporting deeper understanding of reconciliation and meaningful change.
Since 2019, International Towers has supported the Schools Reconciliation Challenge through financial and in-kind donations, as well as participation on the art judging panel. Hosting the 2025 exhibition in 2026 continues this commitment, bringing student voices to the Barangaroo community and supporting the ongoing journey of reconciliation.
