What are you most excited about in your new role as Eco-Concierge?
Bringing people together and inspiring them to integrate sustainability into their day-to-day lives. I love engaging with people, particularly when it comes to sustainability and making meaningful change, so I’m really excited to part of this collaborative initiative and create innovative solutions along the way!
What made you want to have a career in sustainability?
I’ve always been a purpose-driven collaborator with a long-standing interest in buildings. Buildings bring communities together, and so when thinking about a career within the broad property church, sustainability felt like a natural choice as it is a space where I could engage with people to help make the world a better place.
How do you work towards a more sustainable workplace each day?
I walk to work, take my own plate with me if ordering from a nearby café to save on packaging waste, and advocate for sustainability to be integrated into the work we deliver to our customers – downstream impacts.
What would be your dream sustainability project to work on?
My dream sustainability projects are those where teams come together with bold, blue sky ambitions around sustainability and are willing to invest in the journey required to deliver an excellent result. There’s something special working on flagship developments that sets a script of what’s possible for how sustainability is defined in Australia’s built environment.
What do you think the future of sustainability looks like?
The future of sustainability is one where there is as much value placed on our planet and communities as there is on making money.
What would you do if you didn't work in sustainability?
Something in innovation or engagement. I love engaging with people and solving problems creatively. I'd also consider retiring to a sleepy beach town to run a small business.
What are your hobbies?
Running, getting out in nature, beach, queer art
Tell us a fun fact about yourself
