NAIDOC Week is a national celebration held every July, recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is a time for all Australians to reflect on the strength and resilience of First Nations communities and to honour the world’s oldest continuous living cultures.
2026 NAIDOC Theme
NAIDOC Week’s Fifty Years of Deadly theme honours five decades of strength, resistance and cultural pride shaped by generations of First Nations people. It reflects a journey sustained over time — past, present and future. At Barangaroo, this legacy is visible through the recognition of Country and the powerful history of Barangaroo herself, reinforcing enduring connection, leadership and cultural continuity that has thrived across generations and continues to shape the future.
National Indigenous Art Fair
Celebrate the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture at the National Indigenous Art Fair (NIAF) 2026, returning for its most ambitious edition yet at The Cutaway from 3 – 5 Jul, 2026.
Aboriginal Cultural Tours
Join our regular Aboriginal Cultural Tours that extend throughout the six-hectare headland of Barangaroo Reserve, taking in the 75,000 native Australian trees and shrubs that are a feature of the Reserve.
