We're 'All In' this National Reconciliation Week
Join us in taking meaningful action towards reconciliation in the workplace.
Ways to connect with First Nations culture this week.
This week, we're acknowledging National Reconciliation Week — and there are some interesting things happening that are worth knowing about.
This year's theme ''All In'' encourages all Australians to continue the path to reconciliation by advocating for First Nations culture in the workplace — every day, and all the way in.
Alongside a partnership with Lendlease's Workplaces with Impact Grant Recipient, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) and their Talent Pathways Program, Lendlease Workplace tenant organisations are introducing First Nations culture to their workplaces. See first-hand what being 'All In' looks like in creating and implementing a pathway for change this NRW.
Between now and Wednesday, 3 June, here's how you can be a part of the action:
- Grab a Connection Pin. Available from reception, these small pins are this year's symbol of being "All In" — the theme for National Reconciliation Week. Wear it, don't wear it, but definitely pick one up. 4
National Reconciliation Week runs between two significant dates in Australian history — the 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision. This year's "All In" theme encourages workplaces to go beyond acknowledgment and actually engage with First Nations culture. That's what this week is about.
The artwork you'll see around the building was created by Nardurna (Ryhia Dank), a Gudanji/Wakaja artist from the Northern Territory who now works on Gubbi Gubbi Country. She tells stories through pattern and design — worth paying attention to as you move through the space this week.
